Heron Park in Mill Creek

Recently, we visited Mill Creek's Heron Park, which unveiled a new nature-themed play area. I hoped that the double dose of nature would lift my kids' spirits, and it did. We headed straight to the inviting play structures, and my son immediately made a beeline for the merry-go-round. The park is located in a residential neighborhood with limited parking. My son usually sticks to smaller play structures, but the big climbers shaped like tree stumps and wide green leaves drew him in. He conquered the tallest slide with two ramps and triumphantly glided down the corkscrew slide. Then, my daughter explored the toddler play structure and experimented with the note-shaped hammers that make a loud chime sound when hit. She pretended to teach her younger brother while he played with the spinner at the bottom of the stairs. The park offers a fun and safe experience for children of all ages.

According to reports, a guy in the 13600 block of 41st Avenue SE called the police at around 10 a.m. to report himself for domestic abuse. After officers arrived at the residence, the man was taken into custody without incident. Her identity and the reason for her death were still unknown.
